About Cleobury Gardeners
Who are we?
Cleobury Gardeners is a very friendly group for gardening enthusiasts of all ages, gardening abilities and interests. Everyone is welcome, from the most experienced and knowledgeable gardeners to those who simply want to plant gorgeous hanging baskets and containers. We aim to share our skills and expertise and learn from each other.
What do we do?
We host a wide range of specialist speakers on gardening topics, as well as taking part in active practical sessions where we learn new techniques such as growing bonsai or dividing hostas. In the summer months, we go out on garden visits, making full use of our Royal Horticultural Society affiliation to get cheaper entrance to its gardens, as well as visiting gardens and specialist nurseries, sometimes not open to the general public. We also hold social events, particularly in the summer, such as socials and allotment barbeques.
How much does it cost to join?
All of the activities above for an annual membership fee of just £15.00, including refreshments. Entrance to our talks, lectures and socials are free to members and £5.00 each for visitors, including light refreshment. We also manage the allotments site in the town, so we can help you get a plot if that’s your interest, and your allotment rent includes becoming a member of Cleobury Gardeners with access to all its activities.
Where do we meet?
We meets from February to November, usually on Monday evening, at Cleobury Country Centre in Love Lane, Cleobury Mortimer, adjacent to Lacon Childe School. Take a look at the programme and just come along – you’ll be most welcome.
