Allotments
The allotments are run as a community enterprise and managed on a day-to-day basis by Cleobury Gardeners
About the allotments
The allotment site is provided by private agreement between a local landowner and Cleobury Gardeners, with the aim of providing a not-for-profit, affordable community facility that is open to everyone. The site is divided into full and half plots to meet the needs of those requiring just a small area to grow flowers and produce as well as those wanting to grow a much wider range of edible fruit, vegetables and perhaps flowers for cutting.
The plot holders are responsible, jointly, for the maintenance of the site, sometimes involving working parties for large and small jobs, as well as undertaking regular mowing of the grassed areas surrounding the plots. Work is underway to develop the allotment community by arranging further social events during the year and including times during the week when fellow gardeners are around for company and also to be available for new plot holders if they need advice or help.
